Kimberly Garland 01 | Intergalactic Change Unit | This is a piece I worked on while undergoing treatment for clinical depression, including a series of ketamine treatments (trips). It explores the experience of opening my mind to see myself and my depression from far away. It is made from upcycled/found/reused materials. The title refers to the way the objects I create help me to connect the world in my head to the physical world around me, and by doing so, they have a magical effect of grounding me.
